POLISHUK

Rubi Polishuk is a small-time politician who, through a surprising turn of events, finds himself appointed Minister of Social Advancement in the Israeli Government, a redundant office set up purely to mitigate tensions between the fractious parties in a coalition government. Nobody intended for him to actually do anything while in office, but as soon as he gets his feet under the desk, Polishuk gets into his stride and proves himself an unexpectedly effective power-player who even shows signs of developing a backbone and displays an uncanny ability to endear himself to the public – even when he makes a complete fool of himself.
